For a globally famous brand known for crafting iconic performance instruments, a complete website redesign is the meticulous production of a new digital masterpiece. Our objective was to create teaser art worthy of this reputation: visuals that didn't just announce change, but conveyed the intense creative energy and high stakes effort of impending transformation. The campaign had to bridge the gap between the brand’s iconic physical products and its abstract, yet perfectly tuned, digital environment.

Our process began with broader explorations to capture innovation and energy. These early concepts included conceptual motions, such as visualizing the peeling of a sticker from the drum badge to signify the 'new,' and representing the user journey with cursor arrows moving towards the company's logo. While these directions offered visual interest and digital metaphors, they lacked the immediate, visceral connection to the company's core product line and performance heritage. This necessary phase of exploration reinforced a key insight: the campaign required a universally recognized symbol of performance.

Following the initial exploration, the process shifted to finding the perfect visual metaphor centered on the snare drum, the crucial, iconic core of any drum set. We focused on a dynamic tension between chaos and creation to build anticipation, using dynamic, digital elements to construct its final form and illustrate the intensive 'building' of the new platform.

This concept became the campaign's lead visual, focusing on kinetic energy and performance. Working in collaboration with the 3D designer, we utilized actual wireframes of the drum models to ensure precision and realize this dynamic vision.

  • The Pulse: We used the language of the studio—sharp, intense strobe lights—to digitally reveal the snare drum. The light beams are a metaphor for the focused data streams and code defining the new digital experience.

  • Impact: A bold, forward-facing image that was adopted as the primary promotional teaser artwork, successfully signaling a high energy, modern evolution for the brand.


The final image served as the core deliverable. Additionally, a companion image was produced to showcase the Photoshop process involved in realizing this dynamic visual.

  • The Climax: The visual uses geometric shapes and digital fragments (the digital confetti) converging into the perfect, finished form of the snare drum. The initial design featured a metal mesh texture, representing the successful organization of countless digital elements leading to a powerful final performance.

  • The Unforeseen Transformation: The artwork's immediate impact led to its selection for the 50th Anniversary Poster. This elevated status demanded a deep strategic revision: the digital metal mesh was replaced with a high quality wood texture, directly honoring the brand's exotic wood heritage. To further align with the celebratory milestone, the cool purple and peach hues were instantly warmed into golden tones, connecting the visual directly to the Golden 50th Anniversary logo and cementing the image's status as an instant brand icon.
